Product Info

－Hiroshima City Asa Zoological Park－

Opened in 1971 and located on the hills in the northwest of the city, Hiroshima City Asa Zoological Park is a beloved family-friendly destination for locals. The park is built along the natural terrain and houses over 100 species of animals from Africa, Asia, and Japan, organized into eight themed zones including the African Animal Zone, Ape and Monkey Zone, Reptile House, Tortoise Plaza, Japanese and Asian Animal Zone, and Carnivore Zone.

The park's most iconic exhibit is the family of 'African forest elephants,' the only ones successfully bred in Japan, where you can witness the precious daily interactions between mother and calf. The 'Leo Glass' viewing area allows you to come face-to-face with lions through reinforced glass; the 'Cheetah View' observation deck offers a bird's-eye view of cheetahs in action; and the 'Panda Ai-Way' allows for close-up observation of the lively red pandas.

Additionally, the park features the 'Beechiku Park' small animal petting area, where visitors can interact with sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals, making it perfect for families.
