ーKatsuo-ji Templeー

Located in the mountains of Minoh Quasi-National Park in northern Osaka, Katsuo-ji Temple is a renowned temple with a history of approximately 1,300 years, long revered as the 'Temple of Victory.' Historically, powerful samurai clans such as the Minamoto and Ashikaga families visited the temple to pray. Today, it continues to attract visitors from around the world who come to pray for success in health, career, exams, sports, love, and other significant life moments.

The 'victory' promoted by Katsuo-ji is not about defeating others, but about overcoming oneself and conquering inner weaknesses. The countless 'Kachi Daruma' (Victory Daruma dolls) lined up on the offering shelves within the grounds are symbols of gratitude left by visitors after their wishes have been fulfilled, making them one of the most iconic sights at Katsuo-ji.

The temple is nestled within approximately 80,000 tsubo of vast forest, just a 30-minute drive from downtown Osaka, yet it offers a serene atmosphere surrounded by lush greenery. Visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms and rhododendrons in spring, hydrangeas in summer, and stroll through vibrant autumn foliage, with the changing seasons adding unique charm to every visit.
