— Taiwan Insect Museum —
The Taiwan Insect Museum is home to the world's largest beetle, the Hercules beetle, as well as the beautiful rainbow stag beetle, the cool sulfur monitor lizard, and many more adorable insects and animals!
Since 2009, the museum has been operated by Mr. Ke Hsin-ping (PSK) from the Institute of Entomology at National Taiwan University. It has now grown into a well-established NGO.
The original vision of the Taiwan Insect Museum remains unchanged: 'We hope to provide a friendly and comfortable environment where everyone can learn about insects in a relaxed and happy setting. By starting to accept and love these small creatures, we hope people will learn to cherish nature, respect life, and respect the environment.'
Starting from here, step by step, we aim to bring happy, genuine smiles to the faces of every child and adult who visits the Taiwan Insect Museum.
The Hsinchu branch of the Taiwan Insect Museum officially opened in December 2019, showcasing a variety of beetles, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, and more. At the Hsinchu Insect Museum, you can see crocodiles swimming gracefully from a different perspective, observe adorable capybaras soaking in the pool, and see the super cool Hercules beetle! Chameleons! Burmese pythons! So many insects and animals are waiting for you. Come and learn how to respect animals together.
