  • Nikko Toshogu Shrine
    Located in Tochigi Prefecture, Nikko Toshogu Shrine is one of the three major Toshogu shrines in Japan. Dedicated to the first shogun of the Edo shogunate, "Tokugawa Ieyasu," the main hall is luxurious and has been designated as a national treasure and an important cultural property of Japan. In December 1999, Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Rinnoji Temple were included, along with other Nikko shrines and temples, including Nikko Futarasan Shrine, registered as a World Heritage Site. Toshogu Shrine features many notable buildings, including the famous "Three Wise Monkeys," "Yomeimon," and "The Nemuri Neko," along with other attractions worth exploring.
