Fenqihu

Our driver, John, was a wonderful person with excellent service. He was very cheerful, friendly, and made me feel very comfortable. My mother fell ill during the trip, so we had to change our travel plans from Alishan to another place in Chiayi. John helped us a lot. Thank you so much! I will definitely use his services again when I return to Taiwan. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The trip was very well-organized and complete, including visits not only to the Alishan National Park area, but also connected sites like Beimen Station, Fenqihu Station, and Hinoki Village; this gave us the bigger picture of train and forestry culture surrounding Alishan. The driver/guide Mr. Xu explained each site and took us many pictures. He was also very accommodating to my older parents when they needed to go to the restroom multiple times. When we arrived at Alishan, we received two train tickets (Alishan to Zhaoping and Shenmu to Alishan) and a recommended route for our self-guided trek inside; we were then able to explore multiple key sites in a relaxed pace. A good bento lunch, some local snacks, and bottles of water were also provided at the start of the trip. Overall it was well-worth what we paid considering how large and confusing going around Alisha can be.

I booked this trip after seeing the tour itinerary offered by the travel agency. Our driver, Brother Huang (also known as Black Sesame), was very attentive and thoughtful, explaining the itinerary to each group of passengers beforehand. He also introduced the history and other information about nearby attractions, which my sister and I greatly appreciated! The sunsets, sea of clouds, and sunrises at Zhushan in Alishan really depend on the weather. Although we didn't see a beautiful sunset on the first day, the sunrise at Xiaoliyuan in Zhushan on the second day was breathtaking, a 360-degree view! Oh, and by the way, our guide, Wu, suggested going to Xiaoliyuan on the first afternoon! During our tour of Alishan, Wu vividly described the history, culture, and flora, and paid attention to the passengers' physical and mental well-being, doing his best to showcase Alishan's beauty! Overall, the trip deserves 4.7 stars and I'd definitely come back again! Thank you to the travel agency for the arrangements; they sent daily itinerary updates, making the entire trip very reassuring.
