Scanning tickets with the machine is very convenient. You can also reserve seats for the Shinkansen or Limited Express trains using the machine without having to queue manually, which is especially convenient. Although you can only reserve seats by machine 6 times, it's relatively enough. For the 7th time, you can queue at the green window to reserve seats manually. Combining the Amanohashidate and Ine Passes, there are many people queuing to exchange for the pass on the right side of the train station exit, which is quite convenient and cost-effective.

This pass is great for catching the JR trains between Kyoto and Kurashiki, Okayama. While the Kyoto-Osaka route is inconvenient as you have to take the rapid transit instead of the Shinkansen, the extra time makes it worthwhile. The round-trip fare between Kyoto and Okayama is roughly the same as the pass, so it's even more cost-effective if you plan to visit other destinations (like Kurashiki). I'll be staying in Kyoto for a while, so I'll find other JR stations to catch later, which will save me even more money. 😍 The Okayama Enjoyment Pass allows you to easily visit cultural sites and eat various Japanese sweets in Kurashiki, but be sure to check Google reviews before choosing a shop! 😆 (The Kurashiki voucher is at the passenger service center, turn right after exiting the station; no need to go downstairs!) It can also be used in the shopping area at Okayama Station (the redemption point is on the first floor after exiting the station!). Minoru Dining and Little Okayama there are so delicious I ate there twice in two days; the -1500 yen coupon is a great deal! It's also very worthwhile to use it at Okayama Castle, and it even comes with a free delicious ice cream!!
