American Village

The tour guide was a young woman in her early twenties. She was fluent in Japanese and Korean, but not Chinese, and I honestly couldn't understand her English very well, so I mostly didn't understand what she was saying. However, she tried her best to communicate, using translation software as an aid. She reminded everyone when to return to the bus at each attraction, showing great dedication. As for the attractions, it was good to be able to visit several places in one day, but the time was a bit rushed. Some attractions, like Cape Manzamo and American Village, had limited time, resulting in a somewhat whirlwind visit. I understand that time constraints prevented us from staying longer. The scenery was beautiful, and having a tour bus was much better than going on your own, saving a lot of walking and making it much more comfortable. Overall, it was a good trip, and I would choose this tour again if I had to. The transportation was really convenient; one bus could reach so many attractions.

Although there was no Chinese-speaking guide, the friendly explanations made me feel very warm and welcoming... This sightseeing spot, which is not easy to walk around, is perfect for a short half-day trip to experience the charm of Okinawa.

The meeting point was easy to find, the timing was perfect, the driver was nice, and everyone got back to the bus on time. The only downside was the huge traffic jam on the return trip 😅

Taking a tour bus is comfortable; you just need to arrive at the meeting point on time. However, the downside is that there are only three round trips per day.

Our northern day trip was guided by Mr. Huang. He was easy to spot from the very beginning at the meeting point and helped us confirm that other registered members could choose seats closer to each other. Although it rained on the day of the meeting, it stopped raining as we approached the attractions, which was very lucky. His introductions to the attractions were incredibly detailed, covering everything from individual sites to the overall characteristics of Okinawa. Later, he kept recommending delicious food, which made our mouths water. We couldn't help but ask him which restaurants were the best, haha. If you're not in a rush, American Village is a great place for photos; I recommend stopping there to take some pictures. You can get off at American Village and take bus number 20 back around 8:30 PM. I suggest arriving early to wait for the bus. You pick up a ticket on board and pay with coins at the correct number when you get off. In conclusion, I found the day trip itinerary to be very convenient for a first-time visitor to Okinawa.
