When I arrived in Sendai, it hadn't snowed yet, and I thought I was doomed and could only see tree branches. But it turned out that there had been a blizzard on the mountain the day before, and the weather was great that day, so I got a spectacular view. It's definitely on my must-see list. However, the itinerary was too rushed. It took about half an hour to get up the cable car and then I had to come down, so I couldn't explore and take pictures of the beautiful scenery properly, which was a bit of a pity.
The driver was fantastic! She was a gentle and skilled female driver who conveniently took us directly from our hotel to Fox Village, saving us the hassle of catching buses and dealing with transportation issues! If there were four of us in the car, it would be even better value for money! Since the Yagiyama Zoo we were going to visit on the return trip was closed, the driver kindly asked us which destination we wanted to change to. When a family member forgot something in the car, the driver even went out of her way to bring it back to our hotel – the service was truly exceptional!
Thanks to Ashley, our trilingual guide, for leading us to the legendary Spirited Away scene and even encountering a blizzard, which added a unique touch to Ginzan Onsen. We also appreciate the driver's professionalism in taking us back to Sendai Station on time.
It's just over an hour's drive from Sendai, and the snow is well cleared. The quality of the snow at the ski resort is excellent. There are two high-speed lifts and one pair lift. There are almost no wait times for the lifts, even on holidays. The slopes are varied and can be enjoyed by skiers of all levels, from beginners to advanced. The restaurant has a wide variety of dishes and portions. The lunch coupon is a great deal.
Due to weather conditions, some parts of our original itinerary could not be visited. The contact person immediately offered suggestions and discussed alternative attractions. The driver was very friendly and helpful, recommending many restaurants. This saved us the trouble of traveling and changing vehicles in the snowy winter. We were very satisfied with the experience!
I was the only Taiwanese on the bus; everyone else was Japanese, which made for a unique experience. Since most of our time was spent on the bus, even on the "Snow Monster" train, we had to make the most of our breaks to pee. Also, there aren't many places to visit in Okari-da Onsen, and some shops were closed. It might be helpful to plan ahead and decide what to eat, as meals aren't provided. Additionally, the booking dates for the itinerary aren't synchronized with Japan's schedule. If you're planning to come next year, you should check online for information about the "Snow Monster" train at Sumikawa Ski Resort to find out when KKDAY will reopen the tour.
This family trip included both the elderly and children. After assessing the transportation and the needs of the members, we decided to hire a car. The Chinese-speaking driver was very considerate and talkative. In short, everyone agreed that the trip was very worthwhile and a great experience!
The meeting point was very convenient, the tour guide was very responsible and attentive, the driver was very skilled, the itinerary was very smooth, plentiful and wonderful, a truly happy and enjoyable experience ❤️❤️
The hotel was great, the location was carefully chosen. Although we couldn't go to the top of the ice tree, the tour guide immediately changed the itinerary. Peter Yang was excellent, fluent in English and Chinese, and also spoke fluent Chinese.
