Product Info

Begin your adventure at the easternmost edge of the North Shore in the picturesque seaside village of Deep Cove. Nestled between densely forested mountains, the cove opens up to the stunning glacial fjord of Indian Arm. Walk along the marina, watching kayakers and paddleboarders glide effortlessly across the glass-like water.

Next, venture deep into the heart of a temperate rainforest at Lynn Canyon. Step onto the swaying suspension bridge, perched 50 meters (160 feet) in the air, and hear the roar of the rushing glacial waters of Lynn Creek navigating the narrow rock gorges directly beneath your feet. Once across, be enveloped by towering Douglas firs and ancient cedar trees.

Continue your journey to the imposing Cleveland Dam, situated at the top of Capilano River Regional Park. Stand atop the dam and feel the rumble of water as millions of gallons plunge down a 300-foot concrete spillway into the misty canyon below. Turning to face north, be greeted by one of the most iconic and highly photographed vistas in all of British Columbia.

Just downstream from the dam, descend into the river valley to visit the Capilano River Hatchery. Depending on the season, the energy here is electric as you watch adult Coho, Chinook, or Steelhead fiercely leap against the rushing current, fighting their way up the tiered fish ladders to spawn.

As you begin your ascent up Cypress Bowl Road, pull over at the famous Cypress Lookout. From this elevated vantage point, the city looks like a miniature model nestled between the sea and the sky. Trace the massive green outline of Stanley Park, watch cargo ships navigating the Burrard Inlet, and truly grasp the geographic scale of the Lower Mainland.

Your final destination brings you to a magnificent feat of modern trail-building in West Vancouver: the new Trestle Bridge along the Mountain Path. Walking this 200-metre-long wooden marvel is a peaceful, visually striking experience. Elevated high above the riparian areas of Cave Creek, the wide wooden planks provide a smooth, accessible stroll through the upper mountain forests.
