If you need to leave the group temporarily during the activity, please inform the leader in advance and comply with relevant safety requirements. Outdoor activities are affected by weather, road conditions, park opening status, and other factors; the leader may make reasonable adjustments to the itinerary based on actual conditions. It is recommended to ensure sufficient sleep before participating in the activity and to prepare water, food, and personal items in advance. This activity is an outdoor travel and light hiking experience. The leader is responsible for overall itinerary organization and safety reminders but cannot provide full-service companionship. Participants are responsible for their own safety and personal belongings.
Shoes: It is recommended to wear non-slip, comfortable sports shoes or light hiking shoes. The Point Nepean hike is approximately 6km round-trip, with the route mainly consisting of roads, woodlands, and coastal environments. Some sections may have sand, gravel, or wet surfaces. Wearing leather shoes, high heels, sandals, or flip-flops is not recommended. Hiking aids: You may carry knee pads or lightweight trekking poles according to personal habits. Although the overall terrain of this route is not very steep, the 6km round-trip still requires a certain amount of walking, and trekking poles can reduce pressure on the knees and legs during long-distance walking. Sun and wind protection: Sunlight and wind are quite strong on the coast of the Mornington Peninsula. It is recommended to bring a wide-brimmed sun hat, sunscreen, sun-protective clothing, sunglasses, and a neck gaiter for sun and wind protection. Layering: We recommend a quick-drying base layer + thin long sleeves + windbreaker or shell jacket, and adjusting layers flexibly according to the temperature of the day. The weather at the seaside changes quickly, so it is recommended to follow the layering principle of 'take off when hot, add when cold'. Backpack: It is recommended to use a lightweight backpack to free your hands, which is convenient for long-distance hiking. Carrying shoulder bags, handbags, or other bag types that affect walking is not recommended. Water supply: It is recommended to carry 1–1.5L of drinking water for the whole trip, which can be supplemented with electrolyte drinks. There are no convenient facilities to purchase supplies during the Point Nepean hike, so it is recommended to prepare enough before departure. Trail food: For lunch, you can choose to dine freely in Sorrento town, or prepare simple trail food, sandwiches, energy bars, etc., in advance. It is recommended to replenish energy appropriately before the afternoon hike to avoid walking on an empty stomach for a long time. Charging equipment: It is recommended to carry a power bank and charging cable. Outdoor activities last for a long time throughout the day, and you will need to use your phone for navigation, taking photos, and contacting the leader. It is recommended to fully charge your phone and power bank before departure. Emergency equipment: It is recommended to carry a portable raincoat, small tissues, wet wipes, and other basic items to deal with sudden rain, gusts, or weather changes at the seaside.
