I highly recommend our driver, Bob. He's friendly, professional, and a reliable driver. To maintain cleanliness, eating and drinking are prohibited in the vehicle, which was spotless and odor-free – everyone slept soundly on board! 🤣 Besides sightseeing, Bob also provided basic explanations of Melbourne's architecture and culture as we drove through the city, which was great for independent travelers who hadn't done much research beforehand. 👍 The steam train ride is a must! Maru Zoo is an optional excursion (AUD 33 per adult). While the zoo is small, you can get up close to the animals. Lunch is also served there, but the selection of light snacks is limited, so it's recommended to bring your own. The penguins are incredibly cute and a must-do in Melbourne! Flash photography is prohibited, and staff will stop anyone who tries to take pictures. I don't have any photos to share, so you'll have to experience it for yourself. The visitor center sells various penguin-themed merchandise and plush toys, but they don't accept cash. The time allotted at each attraction was just right – not too rushed – making it a very pleasant trip. Overall, highly recommended!
Director Ning seemed a bit fierce, but he was actually very talkative and shared many stories about Australian animals. I learned a lot of new things. Phillip Island, where penguins migrate to their nests, and Cape Nobbes were incredibly wildly beautiful. Although it was a long day trip and tiring, the many rest stops in between made it very enjoyable. 😌
