【Experience Highlights and Flow】
01. Check-in and Explanation (10 minutes): Meet at Nozaki Mairi Park for an explanation of the chopstick making process, tool usage, safety precautions, and an introduction to Japanese chopstick culture.
02. Material and Design Selection (20 minutes): Choose from 7 types of wood (Walnut, Mansonia, Locust, Black Walnut, Hinoki, Cherry, Zhu Cherry) and select from 5 laser-engraved patterns or have your name engraved.
03. Carving and Shaping (30 minutes): Use a plane to carve the chopsticks, shaping them to fit your hand perfectly and feeling the warm texture of the wood.
04. Laser Engraving (10 minutes): Use a laser to precisely engrave your chosen pattern or name.
05. Lacquering and Stroll (40 minutes): Final lacquering process. While waiting, you can take a walk in the park garden or visit the 1,300-year-old Nozaki Kannon Temple (about a 5-minute walk).
06. Trial and Commemorative Photos (10 minutes): Use your newly finished chopsticks for a bean-picking game to test them out and take photos.
07. Furoshiki Wrapping (20 minutes): Store your finished chopsticks in the paulownia box and learn the traditional Japanese 'Furoshiki' wrapping technique to take them home in style.
※ 'FUROSHIKI' is a traditional Japanese cloth used for wrapping and carrying items since ancient times. Today, Furoshiki is valued for being eco-friendly and reusable, making it a practical tool for sustainable living.
