Start your day with an official visit to Alcatraz Island, departing from Pier 33 aboard Alcatraz Cruises. Enjoy a 2.5-hour self-guided experience that includes the renowned Cellhouse Audio Tour, featuring fascinating stories about notorious inmates such as Al Capone and “Birdman” Robert Stroud. Your Alcatraz ticket includes round-trip ferry transportation, access inside the Cellhouse, an orientation video, and a multilingual audio headset for a fully immersive visit.

After returning from Alcatraz, take a short walk to our bike shop on 2661 Taylor Street to pick up your electric bike. Each e-bike comes equipped with a front handlebar bag for personal items or cameras, a rear gear rack, and a complimentary map. You’ll receive a brief orientation and professional fitting before heading out on a self-guided ride along San Francisco’s iconic waterfront.

Cruise past scenic highlights including Aquatic Park, Fort Mason, the Marina, the Presidio, Crissy Field, and Fort Point. Many riders choose to continue across the Golden Gate Bridge to Vista Point or onward to Sausalito, where ferries are available to return to San Francisco.

With a full day of e-bike use, you’re free to explore at your own pace, stop for photos, enjoy breathtaking views, and experience the city in an active and unforgettable way.

After your ride, you may return to San Francisco by biking back at your leisure. Alternatively, you can take a ferry back from Sausalito (ferry ticket not included). During high season, we also offer a Sausalito bike drop-off option for an additional fee.

  • Know Before You Go: Due to National Park restrictions, Alcatraz reservations cannot be moved or rescheduled after booking
