Take a helicopter tour of the Tasman Glacier, soaring over lush rainforest to Fox Glacier for a relaxing glacier adventure. The landing point is deep within the glacier, immersing you in pristine and magnificent scenery. All glacier adventure equipment is included. Led by an experienced guide, hike through Fox Glacier's ever-changing ice caves and crevasses. [Equipment provided includes: boots, socks, crampons, walking sticks, waterproof jacket, and rain pants]
Once you've donned crampons or snowshoes, you'll follow a guide to explore the breathtaking glacial landscape, where they'll use techniques passed down from New Zealand's mountaineering pioneers to carve steps into the glacier.
After the tour concludes, you will return to our base in Fox Glacier on another scenic flight. Because the glacier is constantly changing, our experienced guides always find new and interesting things to show our visitors. Ice tours can last up to 3 hours, depending on weather conditions.

This tour requires a minimum of 4 participants. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, you will be notified of cancellation and receive a full refund 2 days prior to departure.
Recommended items to bring: necessary personal medications, warm clothing, sunscreen and sunglasses, snacks (if needed), and loose-fitting clothing.
Children under 9 years old (excluding 9 years old), pregnant women, and guests whose medical advice advises against participation cannot participate in this tour.
Each guest participating in this tour is limited to a weight of 116 kg / 256 lbs; those exceeding this limit will not be allowed to participate.

  • Participants who stay on the ice for less than one hour will receive a 30% refund; participants who stay on the ice for more than one hour will not receive a refund.

  • For cancellations made 8 to 14 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–7 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.

  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time.
