Upon arrival at the check-in point, we were first weighed, then watched a video explaining the precautions (available in simplified Chinese). We changed into wool socks and shoes. Perhaps because it's summer, they only provided us with waterproof jackets, no pants, but gloves and small backpacks were given. After gearing up, we boarded a shuttle bus to the helipad. The flight took about 5 minutes to reach the glacier. Because the hike was mostly uphill, it wasn't very cold. With frequent stops and sightseeing and taking photos, there wasn't much time to eat or drink. I recommend eating some snacks beforehand and making sure to use the restroom! When we reached a higher point, the guide suggested we try drinking the glacier water, which tasted like ice water with no strange smell. Our guide, Sabrina, was a very talkative woman. Thank you for giving us a wonderful glacier hiking experience!
I originally only wanted to buy an eSIM, but then I thought I might need to contact my accommodation in New Zealand, so I added a maximum number of minutes. When I arrived at the airport, I couldn't connect, so I contacted customer service. They replied immediately, explaining that I needed to dial 777 in New Zealand first (this is explained in the instruction manual). Customer service was prompt and efficient, and the service was excellent. The network signal was also very strong during my trip to New Zealand. I highly recommend this product.
