Visiting Kamikochi
 Kamikochi is open from mid-late April to mid-November each year. The recommended time to visit is during the fresh green season from late May to early June. The beautiful scenery of lush green trees contrasting with the blue sky and white clouds is refreshing. Furthermore, you can avoid the crowds and heat of the peak tourist season in July and August, allowing you to enjoy the natural scenery and unique charm of Kamikochi at a leisurely pace. However, even in May and June, temperatures are colder than in the lowlands, especially with large temperature differences between day and night, so be sure to prepare warm clothing that is easy to put on and take off.

Temperatures in Kamikochi vary greatly depending on the season and location. Therefore, it is recommended to wear clothes that are stretchy, easy to move in, and easy to adjust to body temperature. Also, prepare quick-drying innerwear, long-sleeved shirts, and warm clothing. Especially in spring and autumn, when the daily temperature difference is large, it is recommended to bring fleece jackets, mountain parkas, warm scarves, and gloves. Even in summer, temperatures may drop due to weather changes, so be sure to bring a windbreaker, as well as shirts and hats that you can change into at any time.
