Welcome to 'Ruri Kobo', a workshop in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture, where you can experience making your own accessories♪ This plan is a 'Suncatcher' making workshop, a craft item said to bring good luck along with the sunlight! Simply choose your crystal parts, arrange them, and string them together... and it is finished in no time!! You might even have trouble choosing from the unlimited selection of parts available!? 〜What is a Suncatcher?〜 As the name suggests, it catches the power of the sun and brings it into your room. This causes the light to scatter, creating a prism (= rainbow). In Feng Shui, rainbows are considered a 'sign of good luck', and decorating with a suncatcher is said to be auspicious. 〜Experience Flow〜 ① Reception Check in at 'Ruri Kobo' on the 2nd floor of Akita Furusato Village. Please provide the name used for the booking. ② Selecting Parts Choose the parts that catch your eye from over 20 types of crystal parts. ③ Design Arrange your chosen parts on a special mat while visualizing the final product. ④ Stringing Thread the parts onto the fishing line and secure their positions with crimp beads. ⑤ Finishing Create the hanging loop to finish your piece. You can also use natural stones as an optional add-on.
