Product Info
The people of Liuqiu are islanders whose daily lives are deeply connected to fish. From catching tropical fish with rods on bamboo rafts to longline fishing for bluefin tuna on large vessels, their footprint is everywhere. Our fish-eating culture tour lets you experience the local Liuqiu fishing process, and after returning from the sea, you will enjoy fresh local fisherman-style cuisine together.
Floating docks (found in Sun Moon Lake and Bitan) are typically used; in Xiao Liuqiu, local fishermen use rectangular bamboo rafts. We have assembled a 10-meter by 2-meter floating dock shaped like a bamboo raft. This fishing platform is set at a fixed point offshore. Visitors must paddle a canoe to the platform and sit on it to fish. The platform is equipped with shade and drinks.
After the activity, visitors can go swimming or snorkeling. Upon returning to the shop, we will prepare fresh fish soup for our guests.
