ーPhysical Ticket Purchase Notesー

  • When traveling Business Class in Green Car or Liner trains, customers must pay an additional fee to reserve seats
  • Make sure to provide all the necessary information when making a reservation. Should the processing be delayed due to incomplete or incorrect information, the customer will bear the responsibility of paying an additional handling fee
  • IIn addition to the ticket collection office, tickets may also be collected from ticket vending machines marked with "5489" at stations in West Japan. More information can be found on the official website
  • Only IC chip passports may be exchanged for physical tickets at the green ticket vending machines. Please proceed to the ticket collection office if your passport does not have an IC chip
  • Once the pass is used, its validity period may not be extended for reasons such as train suspension or flight delays
  • Lost or stolen physical tickets may not be reissued
  • Please be aware that the train schedule may be delayed or stopped due to inclement weather

  • Use your smartphone to visit the "WEST QR Service Website" and scan the QR Code to pass through the automatic ticket gate. For detailed instructions, please refer to this guide
  • If all reserved seats have been unavailable or if you have not reserved a seat in advance, you can use the unreserved seat directly. Unused WEST QR tickets are fully refundable within the validity period. 
  • Preparation:
    1. Collect the "WEST QR Ticket (Voucher)".
    2. Access the "WEST QR Service Website" from the link on your "WEST QR Ticket".
    3. Enter a valid email address, a custom password, and your country to complete account creation.
    4. After logging in to the "WEST QR Service Website", a pop-up window will appear asking you whether to bind your ticket. Please select the option you wish to use.
    ※You can also enter the serial number on the "WEST QR Service website" to bind. 
  • Steps for using on the day:
    1. Visit the "WEST QR Service website" and log in using your registered account.
    2. Select the ticket you want to use from the ticket list.
    3. Click the "Start Using" button on the ticket details page to submit your application to activate the ticket.
    ※Please only activate your ticket on the day of use!
    ※Once you click "Start using", the ticket will be considered used even if you did not use it on that day.
    4. The QR Code will be displayed on the ticket details page. Align the QR CODE with the red QR CODE scanner on the automatic gate to pass through the gate. 
  • Reminders:
    ※If there is no QR Code scanner at the ticket gate, please use the scanning area with the "WEST QR" logo near the gate to complete the verification and pass through the gate.
    ※Screenshots or printouts of QR codes are not accepted.
