With proper timing, March 29th is not peak season. In the morning, there is Ginzan (sunny with occasional clouds), and in the afternoon, there is Zao (sunny, with some fog on the mountain, which gradually thickened later). There are not too many people, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
I thought the group wouldn't be able to form, but thankfully it was! My dad had a great time, and the hotel pick-up and drop-off service was very convenient!
The driver was very kind; he picked us up directly from our hotel and listened to our feedback throughout the journey. We were very lucky to see the snow-covered forest at Zaoju Ice Forest; it was truly amazing.
This was a wonderful winter tour. Our tour leader Vivi was very friendly, professional and helpful throughout the whole trip. She explained everything clearly and made sure the schedule went smoothly.
Ginzan Onsen was absolutely beautiful with the traditional buildings and snow scenery. It really felt like a place from a movie. We had enough time to walk around, take photos and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Zao Fox Village was also a very unique experience. Seeing so many foxes up close was something special and unforgettable.
Overall the tour was well organized and comfortable. Vivi was always patient and helpful, which made the trip even better. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Japan in winter!
