Byodo-in Temple

On the fourth day of our trip, we made a last-minute decision to go to Kyoto. The Keihan Railway One-Day Pass was perfect because it allowed us to ride the Osaka Railway and visit many attractions in Kyoto – it was such a great deal!

The weather was good, the car was comfortable, and the tour guide's service was good; he introduced the history of the attractions and some aspects of Japanese culture. Visiting three attractions in one day was a bit rushed, as each place had its own unique features, and transportation wasn't very convenient. Katsuo-ji Temple was beautiful, and the lake sprayed mist, giving it an ethereal feel.
