This was my first solo trip to Miyakojima. I was curious about what a one-day bus tour would be like, so I decided to take advantage of it. My conclusion: it was amazing! I think I hit 70% of the must-see spots on Miyakojima. My ambitions were instantly fulfilled, including seeing Yonaha Maehama Beach from the front and touching the sand at Toguchi Beach. I also enjoyed my long-awaited mango juice at Paradise Fruits. It was a completely different experience from the mango juice I'd had in town, with a rich, authentic mango flavor. Our guide, Mr. XX, perfectly timed our way to the highlights, including the Irabu Bridge, Kurima Bridge, and Ikema Bridge. Hearing so many insightful stories about Miyakojima's history and the islanders' ways, I never got bored, and the driver even provided time to enjoy the scenery from the window. The highly professional guide and kind driver made for a relaxing and enjoyable tour. Utaki is a sacred place, so never go through the torii gate, but stand quietly in front of it and make a wish. It was an eye-opener for me. I highly recommend this tour.
I've snorkeled at many travel destinations, but Miyakojima's waters were in a class of their own. I was amazed by the exceptional clarity and abundance of fish. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy winter day, but thanks to the rental wetsuits, I was able to brave the cold January waters and enjoy about an hour in the calm waters. Instead of going out on a boat, we entered the water directly from the shore, which made it easy and convenient. We quickly encountered many tropical fish, clownfish, and even two sea turtles. It was amazing to be able to enjoy such a close-up look at the adorable sea turtles. Our guide, Shuji, gave us detailed explanations beforehand. He took plenty of photos and videos while gracefully diving underwater and sent them to me that same day. Thank you for the wonderful tour. Even after returning from our trip, I often look back on Miyakojima's beautiful waters and reminisce about them.
Very helpful and accommodating service provider. Last minute booking of 2 x 10 seaters. Was able to provide local advice to Okinawa and go above and beyond to help make inquiries to restaurants for reservations. Highly recommended!
Mr. Shimoji, who was in charge of the pick-up and drop-off, could only communicate in simple English, but he took the initiative to help take photos at each attraction. In addition, since we were traveling by cruise ship, he specially provided us with private spots so that we could take photos with the entire cruise ship on the shore. The whole trip was very enjoyable and comfortable.
Thanks to Ryu's detailed explanations and photos, we had a great time. He used Google Translate to ensure everyone understood without missing a beat. I appreciated his understanding when I got the location wrong.
