Product Info

Evening guided tour of the 750-year-old Augustinian Monastery in the center of Erfurt. Includes the cloister, Augustinian Church, chapter house, Renaissance courtyard, Luther Gate, Luther's cell, and the “Frustration and Freedom” exhibition.
Here, Luther discovered his great love, Pope Benedict XVI made history, and the Augustinian monks learned to keep their mouths shut.
The Augustinian Monastery is considered the “cradle of the Reformation.” Martin Luther lived here for six years.
A place that gives you goosebumps. This is where history was made. Whether it be Martin Luther, Otto von Bismarck, Friedrich Schinkel, Johann Sebastian Bach, or Pope Benedict XVI, the monastery has been linked to the history of Germany and beyond for many hundreds of years.
The tour takes place even in the event of rain, as the majority of the tour is in historic buildings. Seating will also be available throughout the tour.
The meeting point is at the reception desk in front of the church.
From May 1 to September 30 at 9:00 PM
