The walk begins in the romantic Kirschgarten, one of the most beautiful squares in Mainz's old town. From there, the tour takes you through historic alleys and across important squares. Along the way, you will hear fascinating stories about trade, the church, winemakers, and life in the wine metropolis of Mainz.

Along the way, you will encounter places that are closely linked to the city's wine history. You will discover historic corners off the beaten track and gain insights into the development of viticulture from Roman times to the present day.

The approximately 90-minute guided tour ends right at the Mainz Wine Market in the City Park. There, you can enjoy a glass of wine from a regional partner winery together and then continue to explore the wine market on your own.
