Create a stencil-dyed frame using botanical dyes made from Murakami tea, a specialty of Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture. Choose your favorite from several traditional patterns, and use a mordant to add color to fabric already dyed with Murakami tea. After washing, drying, and framing, your one-of-a-kind original botanical stencil-dyed frame is complete. You can take it home on the day of the experience. The calm, sophisticated hues unique to Murakami tea combined with the charm of traditional patterns will transform your room into a wonderful space. There is no age limit. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian. Please keep a close eye on children at all times as there are chemicals and water tanks in the workshop. We can accommodate wheelchair users so they can also enjoy the experience. Please consult with us in advance. (There are steps at the workshop venue.)
