  • 2. [Kimono Selection] You can choose from a wide range of kimonos, including the ever-popular lace kimono and antique kimono. You can choose from a variety of kimono genres, including retro-modern, muted, simple, trendy, classic patterns, chic, pop, lace, and solid colors, so you're sure to find a kimono that suits your taste and style.
    Inside a Kyoto Arashiyama kimono rental shop, various kimonos and yukatas hang on racks, offering over 500 styles to meet diverse customer needs.

[Dressing/Hairstyling] Our kimono dressers will quickly and beautifully dress you in a kimono suitable for everyday wear when renting for sightseeing and walking around, or beautiful and secure for ceremonies such as graduations and coming-of-age ceremonies. All the tools necessary for dressing are provided, so you do not need to bring anything with you. For hair styling, our hairstylists will style your hair to match your Japanese clothing based on the length and texture of your hair. We have many staff members who hold national kimono dressing qualifications and have experience styling hair for bridal and talent agencies.
    Basic hair styling options provided by the Arashiyama kimono rental shop, including various braided and updo styles available for female customers.
  • 4. [Bag and Zori Selection] Choose your favorite zori for your kimono, or geta for your yukata, depending on the season and weather. You can choose from a variety of bags, from small ones that can fit a wallet to large bags with plenty of storage space. Some options are optional (+550 yen), but you can also choose girly pearl bags or antique-style lace bags.

  • 5. [Departure] Once you have finished dressing, hair styling, and paying, you can depart. Please take a photo of your luggage number and keep it with you. Height restrictions for kimonos are as follows:
Women: 145cm to 175cm
Men: 155cm to 195cm
*We do not have kimonos or yukatas for children, but they can use the facilities if they meet the height requirements above. The plans are the same as for adults.
