— Required Documents —

Travelers are required to provide the following documents in order to rent the vehicle:

☆Passport, original driver's license of the home country, a Japanese translation of the driver's license, and an international driver's license issued by an institution that is a recognized member of the Geneva Convention in accordance with the format of the Geneva Convention

☆The validity period of the international driver's license should be at least 1 year from the date of issue (please confirm the date of issue). The validity period for driving in Japan is 1 year from the date of entry (please confirm the entry stamp on the passport). If you use the self-service gate when entering and leaving the country, you will not have a passport stamp (proof stamp). A stamp (identity verification) is required when renting a car. After passing through the self-service channel, please be sure to apply for a stamp (certification seal) from each examination officer

☆Having a driver's license issued by Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, Monaco, Estonia, and other countries, you can drive within one year of entering Japan with the driver's license and Japanese translation. Please bring the above two documents and the driver's passport to the shop to rent a car

☆Passengers from other countries must hold an international driver's license and a driver's passport to drive in Japan

— Cashless Medical Service Effective from 1 April 2024—

• During the rental period, if unfortunately, you encounter a traffic accident and get injured, this service can help you find a hospital that can communicate in your language and provide the treatment needed for free
  * Before renting a car, on-site staff will request travelers to provide and register the names of all passengers (matching those on their passports) and the pick-up/return dates of the car.
  * When renting a car, the rental office will require travelers to fill out relevant documents. Anyone failing to do so will not be eligible for this service

－Important Info－

• Collision Damage Waiver Coverage: This includes both property and car damage waiver insurance. If multiple accidents occur under a single car rental contract, only the first accident is eligible for this insurance coverage
• NOC Coverage: 
  NOC coverage allows the driver to be exempt from compensating the car rental company for the loss of business due to the unavailability of the car. If you do not opt for NOC coverage, you may be charged the following fees:
  1. If you can return the car to the rental office yourself after an accident, a fee of JP¥20,000 may be charged
  2. If the car is severely damaged and cannot be driven back to the rental office, a fee of JP¥50,000 may be charged
• Full Support:
  For items not covered by CDW or NOC coverage, Full Support will provide comprehensive coverage.
  This includes expenses for repairing parts such as tires, exhaust pipes, and car transfer fees (excluding refueling costs)

☆Please note that all insurance/compensation will not be paid in the following situations: 

1. When an accident occurs, the required procedures such as reporting to the police and contacting the rental car store are not followed
2. Accidents attributed to another party
3. Violation of the Lease Terms:
Accidents that occur when someone other than the lessee is driving during the lease period. Accidents that occur during a private delay in returning the car. Driving without a license. Driving under the influence of alcohol, or under the influence of drugs. Private mediation and negotiation with the other party, etc.
4. Negligent Use of Car: 
Reckless driving (intentionally causing accidents, etc.), damage to accessories, loss, damage that cannot be removed through general cleaning or tidying work, odors (including smoking in non-smoking cars), damage caused by using the wrong type of fuel during refueling, theft while the key is not removed or the car is not locked, damage caused by improper installation and setting of tire chains, racks, damage caused by driving on riverside, among woods and other terrains that may damage the car, etc.
5. Scope of Applicability of Insurance Liability Waivers: 
The insurance policy may not cover damage to property held, used, or managed by customers, damage caused by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, intentional damage, and other specific circumstances
