- Takato Castle Ruins Park
The Takato Kohigan cherry blossoms are said to be the 'best in the world'; they are smaller but have a beautiful pink hue.
The cherry blossoms paint the castle ruins park in pink, set against the blue sky of the Central and Southern Alps.
Takato Castle's cherry blossoms are one of the 100 best cherry blossom spots selected by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association and were designated as a natural monument of Nagano Prefecture (February 1960).
The blooming period is short, and the best viewing time is around mid-April, though it is difficult to pinpoint due to seasonal variations. When in full bloom, the 'cherry blossom snow' is magnificent, with pink petals falling like snow.
After the old castle ruins were demolished in the Meiji era (1876) and the site was converted into a park, cherry trees were planted in the Sakura-koba area of the Honan-Ohara region. Today, there are about 20 trees aged around 130 years, 500 trees over 50 years old, 300 trees over 30 years old, and approximately 1,500 cherry trees in total.

Located in Gifu, Ena Gorge is a scenic spot where nature and human-made structures blend together.
Ena Gorge is famous for its many unique rock formations. You can see Byobu-iwa, Gunkan-iwa, Shishi-iwa, and Kagami-iwa while touring the area on a sightseeing boat. It is also a site of geological significance, featuring a mineral museum.
