This DMZ day trip exceeded my expectations and is highly recommended! Our guide, Apollo, was incredibly professional and added a lot to the entire trip. Throughout the journey, Apollo not only led the group but also explained the historical context of the Korean War and the DMZ in a very clear, easy-to-understand, and insightful way. We visited Aegibong DMZ (the place with the Starbucks and limited-edition cups), and the views from the observation deck were breathtaking. Thanks to Apollo's explanations, we were able to understand the stories behind the land before us, rather than just taking photos. The itinerary after lunch was also wonderful; we visited Eunpyeong Hanok Village and Jinwansa Temple. Although the Hanok Village is a reconstruction, it is magnificent in scale, with clean and beautiful streets, perfect for strolling and taking photos, and you can feel a quiet Korean aesthetic. Jinwansa Temple, on the other hand, has a tranquil and contemplative atmosphere, providing a moment of peace amidst the busy journey. I really liked this arrangement. The entire itinerary was well-planned, unhurried, and organized. Combined with Apollo's familiarity with history and engaging explanations, this trip wasn't just a "been there, done that" experience, but a genuine journey to understand the history and culture of North and South Korea. Highly recommended for first-time visitors to the DMZ, and especially recommended to book a tour specifically with Apollo!
