Urasoe

Experienced on July 24, 2026. Gusuku Bingata is a red dyeing studio in Urasoe City, Okinawa. While planning my trip, I used KKday to search for handmade experiences and discovered a fun red dyeing workshop, which made for one of the best parts of my time in Okinawa! They offer two types of products: tapestries and tote bags, with many different designs. Since the workshop was only available at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, I encountered a slight problem: the morning slots were fully booked, and the shop kindly sent a message in Chinese asking if I could reschedule for the afternoon, which I immediately agreed to. Perhaps because of this, when my voucher arrived a few days later, it still showed a 10:00 AM reservation, which made me a little uneasy. After contacting the shop again, I received a polite and warm "come with confidence" reply. When I arrived at the shop, I couldn't express myself well because I'm not fluent in Japanese, which bothered the staff. I showed the communication page, and one of the shop assistants (Mr. Shingo Yamashiro) guided me upstairs, mentioning that he had studied Chinese. That's when I understood why there was a Chinese option in the guide, which surprised and delighted me. We chatted a lot along the way! The second floor was very spacious. After taking off my shoes, I sat at a square table on the wooden floor, chose a product design, and after a process explanation (pages 3-5), I could use eight different paints to color it. The painting process was very relaxing; even beginners could enjoy the time peacefully. After the shop assistant learned I was a tourist from China, he communicated with me in Chinese. He said he hoped to give me a wonderful travel memory and would give me a small gift at the end. A lady at the same table, who was also enjoying a class and knew the shop assistant better and spoke more fluent Chinese, acted as a translator between the two, and we chatted happily for a long time! The shop assistant mentioned that they recently launched a course on KKday, which received a good response. My sister asked me why I chose to come here, and I said it was because I found it on KKday XD. After the tote bag design was finished, my sister invited me downstairs. After browsing the merchandise and a tense wait, the shop assistant handed me the gift package shown in picture 2! Inside were postcards and other unique items, and they even let me choose my favorite sticker from six designs. I was so touched and happy. I think if I have the chance, I will definitely come back here again…🥰

The driver is such a nice person.

Thank you, Brother Lin. Your driving skills are excellent, and the car was very comfortable. You even made a special trip to the interchange when the kids needed to use the restroom. The whole family had a great time. We'll definitely choose Yuxiang International again next time.
