I've participated in many kimono experiences, but this one was the best. When choosing a kimono, no one rushed me; they even patiently helped me analyze the colors and styles. Although the kimono dressing process was quick, it wasn't perfunctory. Especially the hairstyle—I chose a more complicated style, but it wasn't uncomfortable during the tying process, and my hairstyle didn't get messed up or loose from morning till night. It allowed me to take many beautiful photos in Fushimi Inari and Uji. It was raining heavily that day, but there were transparent umbrellas available to borrow. It was a fantastic experience!
Our Kyoto experience with David was awesome. He provided a lot of insightful information in both English & Chinese. Instructions given was cleared especially meeting and pick up points. Every stop was punctual and no delays. The coach that we board was so clean and so comfy. Highly recommend for beginner travelling to Kyoto whereby you can cover more in a day!
Booked a 8.30am slot on a Tuesday and it was very packed when we went in. When we returned our kimonos at 1pm, the store was also very packed. Store space (first floor for outfit selection, second floor for hairstyling and changing) are both not big. Japanese lady who helped me with my kimono in my second floor was very lovely.
But the choices of kimono even for the special offer are great. There are even lace designs available to choose from. Hairstyling was also done very nicely and I love it!
This was my first time joining one of these tours, and it was so convenient! The coincidence of picking up the bus right downstairs from my hotel was perfect; the itinerary conveniently took me to three different places. A special thank you to our tour guide, Jun (Bobo), who shared many profound life lessons with us, explaining that many people are just passing through our lives, and that meeting him this time was fate. He even sang for the rest of the group at the end! 🤭 Not only was he professional, but he was also hilarious. I'll definitely join again next time! 🙏🏻
There are quite a few options to choose from, and the hair styling afterwards looks pretty good. However, the cheaper options don't have many clothes and hair accessories to choose from, so you can add more items later.
The shop was very crowded during cherry blossom season, and the staff were very patient and helpful even though they hadn't eaten or drunk anything. They spoke Chinese, and the clothing styles were decent; the uniforms were especially nice. The only downside was that the shop was a bit small.
