The driver was very professional, making driving in the snow reassuring. The ride was excellent, and they were extremely punctual. If you're visiting Nagoya, definitely choose this company; it will make your trip worthwhile.
It didn't snow that day, so there wasn't the snowy scenery I had imagined, and the overall landscape was rather ordinary. However, the itinerary was well-planned, making it very convenient as I didn't have to transfer. The old town of Gujo Hachiman and the hot springs were quite relaxing, making it a good experience overall.
If you have kids, you absolutely must go! They can burn off energy all day long, and they'll fall asleep on the bus in no time until the final stop. It's fantastic!
Led by a Chinese-speaking driver and guide, the day begins with a 2.5-hour stop in Shirakawa-go. The white, sandalwood-style village in winter truly resembles a fairytale; you can stroll around, take photos, and find a restaurant for a snack if you get tired. Afterwards, head to Morigago-no-Sato to play in the snow. This area is a pasture in summer and covered in snow in winter. You can freely play in the snow for an hour (depending on the snowfall), which the kids love 💕. There are also optional activities nearby, such as horseback riding and feeding small animals (at your own expense). You can also sample local dairy products at the shop. It's a fulfilling and wonderful experience, and the itinerary isn't too rushed. Highly recommended!
Our tour guide, Xiao Jia, was inexperienced and gave a vague answer about the meeting time. It was the first time I'd encountered such an inexperienced guide on a day trip, and I was a little flustered. But the Pastoral Garden was really fun! The kids had a blast and kept wishing they'd come back again. Luckily, there was a heavy snowfall a couple of days ago, which allowed us to enjoy the snow scenery today.
