10:00-13:00 Mt. Omuro + Cactus Park

Mt. Omuro in Izu is located on the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is the prototype for the crater scene in the anime 'Your Name'. Take the panoramic cable car directly to the summit for a 360-degree view of the Pacific Ocean and the Izu Peninsula. Visit the photo spot from 'Your Name', stroll along the crater trail, and overlook the magnificent panorama of the Izu Seven Islands and the Pacific Ocean. On clear days, you can even see Mt. Fuji in the distance. In summer, the mountain is covered in lush greenery, resembling a giant matcha pudding, while in winter, it turns a charred brown due to the mountain burning tradition, creating a unique seasonal landscape. The crater depression features an archery range and a torii gate, adding a fantastical atmosphere that has become a popular photo spot for anime fans and photographers.

Izu Cactus Park is a unique comprehensive theme park in the Izu region of Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is one of Japan's largest desert botanical gardens, featuring giant cactus greenhouses and Moroccan-style landscaping perfect for a photo spot. You can also observe interesting ecological displays like capybaras and monkey boat rides.

14:20-15:00 Jogasaki Coast · Kadowaki Suspension Bridge

Lava from the eruption of Mt. Omuro was eroded by the sea over many years, forming this 9-kilometer-long lava coastline. The Jogasaki Coast features a magnificent nine-kilometer coastline, including the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, where you can feel the thrill of standing over the sea, and the Kadowaki Lighthouse, which offers 360-degree views of the mountains and sea.

1. What is the best season or month to visit Mount Omuro, and what special scenery can be seen?

Mount Omuro has unique charm in every season. Spring (March-May) offers the sight of new greenery, a vibrant green landscape. Summer (June-August) boasts a vast, verdant view from the summit. Autumn (September-November) presents pleasant weather, ideal for outdoor activities. Winter (December-February), though cold, offers clear days with distant views of Mt. Fuji. The iconic "Matcha Mountain" scenery is most vivid in spring and summer, showcasing Mount Omuro's distinctive volcanic terrain.

2. If visiting Mount Omuro in January, what unique sights or experiences are there?

Visiting Mount Omuro in January, despite the colder climate, offers high visibility on clear days, allowing for a clear view of the magnificent scenery of Mt. Fuji, Sagami Bay, and the Izu Islands. If there's snowfall, the summit can transform into a silvery world covered in snow, creating a unique panorama as the cable car ascends. Furthermore, winter sees fewer tourists, allowing for a more leisurely enjoyment of the serene natural landscape and expansive views.

3. Besides the scenery, what other unique experiences are recommended at Mount Omuro?

Besides taking the cable car for 360-degree panoramic views, you can experience archery at the 'Ohmuroyama Bow-Arrow Land' within the crater, enjoying the fun of Japanese archery. Additionally, a leisurely stroll around the crater rim along the walking path, taking about 20-30 minutes, allows you to appreciate the surrounding scenery from different angles, experiencing its unique matcha-colored volcanic terrain, distant sea views, and townscapes.

4. Can the highlights of Jogasaki Coast be fully experienced on a day trip to the Izu region?

On a day trip to Izu, you can typically allocate about 1.5 to 2 hours to fully experience the essence of Jogasaki Coast. This duration is sufficient to walk along the lava trails, admire its unique coastal topography and sea caves, and experience the sea breeze and thrilling views from the famous Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, capturing magnificent scenery. This itinerary is designed to highlight the most representative features, allowing you to feel the charm of the coast within a limited time.

5. What is the riding experience like on the 'Seaside Train' for Izu trips departing from Tokyo, and what scenery does it pass through?

Riding the Seaside Train is a highlight of Izu trips, filled with a retro charm. This train travels through dreamlike scenery similar to the sea train scenes in the classic animation 'Spirited Away,' making you feel as if you've stepped into the animated world. Along the way, you can enjoy the azure Sagami Bay, dramatic coastlines, tranquil fishing villages, and lush mountains. It's an excellent opportunity for photos, check-ins, and relaxation, experiencing the vastness and beauty of the Pacific Ocean.

6. Besides cacti, what other animal interaction experiences are available at Izu Shaboten Zoo?

In addition to a rich variety of cactus plants, Izu Shaboten Zoo's biggest feature is its close-up interaction experiences with various adorable animals. You can witness the charming sight of the famous capybaras bathing, and even have the chance to feed them personally. The park also houses monkeys, birds, and many other animals. Some areas are designed as open spaces, allowing visitors to get closer to the small animals, making it a perfect spot for family outings.

7. What is the difficulty level of walking the lava trails at Jogasaki Coast, and what viewing spots are recommended?

The lava trails at Jogasaki Coast are relatively flat and well-maintained walking routes, with low difficulty, suitable for most visitors. The main recommended viewing spot is the 'Kadowaki Suspension Bridge,' which spans between sea-eroded cliffs, offering thrilling and spectacular ocean views; it's a must-visit. Additionally, as you walk along the trail, many points offer views of sea-eroded landforms, peculiar rock formations, and crashing waves against the shore, with rich changes in scenery and viewing spots everywhere.

8. What are the advantages of choosing a package tour for visiting attractions like Mount Omuro, Izu Shaboten Zoo, and Jogasaki Coast from Tokyo?
