I joined a one-day tour on July 24th. It was very hot, and the tour leader kept reminding everyone to drink plenty of water. The tour leader's service was excellent, the driver drove steadily, departed on time, followed the itinerary, and the stop times were all correct. Highly recommended.
This route took us to the more remote suburbs, finally allowing us to visit many places we wanted to see. The scenery was beautiful—especially for those who love the Japanese style! Our guide, Apple, meticulously explained the highlights of each place, helped us plan our route, and recommended food and souvenirs, making our visit very relaxing and comfortable! The driver was very polite and drove smoothly, allowing us to sleep and rest comfortably during the journey.
Previously, when traveling from Osaka to Kyoto, my instinct was to take the train or JR. This time, with a 10-year-old child, the subway and train journeys alone were exhausting.
Trying a private car arrangement proved to be very advantageous:
Time-saving: Directly getting from our accommodation to our destination saved a significant amount of time.
Effortless: Luggage was handled, avoiding long walks and waiting times.
Worry-free: The itinerary was pre-arranged, ensuring we arrived on time without worrying about missing our trains; boarding and alighting times were flexible.
Cost-saving: Compared to day tour groups, our private car day trip was cheaper when split among the passengers.
On the day of the trip, Kyoto was hot. We didn't have to endure the heat at the station. When we arrived, we found it too hot outside, so we boarded the car early after visiting the sights. We quickly discussed it with the driver, and they quickly adjusted the itinerary to indoor activities, avoiding a forced outdoor activity in the sun. We finished shopping and returned to the hotel satisfied within the allotted time.
This experience was very satisfying.
Driver Chen was a friendly and polite person, and our conversation in the car was pleasant.
It was very convenient to visit three interesting attractions in one trip without having to transfer transportation. It was just very hot in the summer. The Katsuo-ji Temple entrance ticket, postcards, and other attractions were very interesting. The tour guide and driver were both very nice.
The itinerary was alright; there were only four people left in the group at the end of the day. The tour guide was very friendly and helpful. However, KK's explanation that we should get off at Kyoto Station was incorrect; the itinerary only indicated whether we would get off at Kyoto Station, not necessarily at Kyoto Station. KK needs to provide more accurate information.
Great attraction, great tour guide (Huang Wenling), tour guide will remind avoid the crowds of washrooms and restaurants, save time, attraction explanation story is very clear, will help explain in Katsuo Temple, also afraid of tourists can not find a place, will wait in that location, very responsible guide
It saves you the inconvenience of transportation, the meeting point is clearly defined, and the tour guide provides explanations in both Chinese and English. Although the ticket price is not included, it's well worth it!
It's simple, convenient, and cheaper than buying on-site. Using mobile e-tickets is also perfect for modern people. KKDay often has some combo deals, which I think are quite worthwhile. I'll browse this website frequently when needed.
I booked a day tour just before departure, and thankfully the weather was perfect. I was also lucky to meet Nick, who is also from Taoyuan. His relaxed and humorous tour guiding style gave us a basic understanding of the history of the tourist destination, and he felt like a friend. He's a young man with dreams and passion for his work. This day tour saved me the trouble of traveling and finding my way around, and we visited several places in one day, allowing me to leisurely explore other areas on other days. The food was also good. I would definitely choose this day tour again next time.
