Known as the mystical town of Saint Francis, it's nestled on the verdant slopes of Mount Subasio. Its stone houses, narrow lanes, blooming balconies and grand palaces provide a feast for the eyes and make for unforgettable photo opportunities (don’t forget your camera). You'll have the chance to visit the St. Francis Basilica, home to early Renaissance masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue, as well as the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli.

If you fancy, there will be time for lunch in a traditional restaurant (optional). The journey continues to Orvieto, where you can admire a shining example of Gothic architecture, complete with a dazzling façade adorned with stained-glass, mosaics and sculptures. Immerse yourself in Orvieto’s charm as you explore the city centre before heading back to Rome.
