Lake Como: Full-Day Vespa Rental & Villa Carlotta Entry｜Italy

Discover Lake Como on your own stylish Italian Vespa. • How many can ride?
Our Vespa fits up to 2 people.

• Do I need a motorbike licence?
The Vespa has a 125cc engine - a car license is sufficient if you have an Italian drivers licence (minimum 1-year, category B license). Otherwise, a motorcycle license is required (EU: A1, A2, or A; rest of the world: motorcycle endorsement or motorcycle license). We recommend all drivers to carry an international drivers permit (IDP).

• Do I need experience?
Yes.

• Is it automatic or does it have gears?
The Vespa is automatic, so super easy to ride, but we do require drivers to have experience driving a 125cc vespa/scooter/motorbike.

• Can I drive everywhere?
You can drive anywhere in Lake Como except for permanent and temporary ZTL (Limited traffic zones). This means that you cannot drive into the larger metropolitan Milan area or center. Nor can you drive through the center of small villages like Varenna when the ZTL is active.

• Does it come with fuel?
You will receive the Vespa with a full tank of unleaded 95 petrol/gasoline. Please top up the vespa when you are done.

• Are helmets included?
Included are 2x retro-looking Nox N243 helmets in color ‘British Green’ or ‘Cream’, available in sizes S, M, L, and XL.

• Where do I park?
street parking for all motorbikes and scooters including our Vespa is free in Lake Como within the designated white lines. If you are keeping the vespa overnight, it is preferably kept in a covered parking spot or garage at your hotel/apartment.

• Can you deliver to me?
We offer delivery + pick-up to you as an We offer delivery + pick-up to you as an add-on service. We offer this service to lake-side locations situated around Lake Como. Please reach out to us before booking to ensure we can accommodate your request.

• Do I need to bring anything else?
A deposit of €200 cash OR passport OR European ID card.

From 20 March - 18 October, Villa Carlotta is open from 10am-7pm, with last entry at 6pm and the museum closing at 6:30pm. Please check the Villa Carlotta official website for up to date information.
