Product Info

Your unforgettable journey begins as we gather in front of the majestic Castel Sant'Angelo, one of Rome’s most iconic landmarks. Once a mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian, later a fortress, and even a papal residence, this imposing structure has seen centuries of Roman history unfold. As you meet your expert guide, you’ll learn about its fascinating transformation over time, from its origins in ancient Rome to its role in the defense of the Vatican. We’ll enter the castle together, where you’ll explore its labyrinth of chambers, secret passageways, and ornate halls.

Inside, you'll uncover the castle's rich history through its stunning architecture, frescoes, and sculptures that tell the story of its evolving roles. As you ascend to the upper levels, you’ll walk through what was once a luxurious papal apartment. The highlight of this part of the tour comes when you reach the castle’s panoramic terrace. Here, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking, 360-degree view of the city.
From this vantage point, the sprawling beauty of Rome comes into clear focus—the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica, the Tiber River, and the endless array of rooftops and monuments stretching out before you. This is a perfect spot for memorable photos, allowing you to capture the essence of the Eternal City from above.

After soaking in the spectacular views, we’ll leave the castle behind and begin our scenic stroll along Via dei Coronari, one of Rome’s oldest and most charming streets. Famous for its cobblestone pathways and centuries-old buildings, this picturesque road is filled with artisan shops, antique boutiques, and quaint cafes. Via dei Coronari leads us deeper into the heart of Rome's Baroque era, setting the stage for our next stop: Piazza Navona.

Arriving at Piazza Navona, you’ll find yourself in one of Rome’s most beautiful and lively squares. Originally built on the site of a Roman stadium, the piazza is now home to Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers, a masterpiece that symbolizes the great rivers of the world. You’ll also see the striking Sant’Agnese in Agone, designed by Borromini, which adds to the square’s grandeur.

From Piazza Navona, we’ll continue to our final destination, the architectural wonder of the Pantheon. As we approach, you’ll be struck by its towering columns and immense dome, a testament to ancient Roman engineering. Once inside, your guide will explain the ingenious construction of the Pantheon, whose dome remains the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world. You’ll marvel at the oculus, an opening at the center of the dome, through which sunlight streams, illuminating the grand interior. The Pantheon, originally built as a temple to all the gods, is now a church and houses the tombs of notable figures such as the artist Raphael.

This tour offers a perfect blend of ancient and Baroque Rome, ending with a truly breathtaking monument.
