The departure is at 8:30am and your guide will meet you with an air-conditioned vehicle to start your Tuscany Tour.
As you walk through the streets characterised by Renaissance and mediaeval buildings, your guide will give you an insider's view of Siena. You will see the first bank in history, learn the rich history of the city, and take a tour of the elegantly decorated Duomo. In Piazza del Campo, the famous and historic location of the 600-year-old Palio race, your guide will help you envision the event. You will also have time to check out souvenirs shops or enjoy a coffee in an outside cafe while admiring the city.
Many of our guests consider your following stop as the pinnacle of this exclusive tour of Tuscany. We'll take you to a family-run Chianti estate with its vineyards for a wine tasting experience where you may taste a variety of their wines, including Chianti, Vernaccia, and Vin Santo, the region's dessert wine. After our Tuscan wines have piqued your interest, you'll be ready for a typical Tuscan lunch. On the farmhouse terrace, you and your group will enjoy the delicious Tuscan cuisine while admiring the breathtaking scenery, all complemented by the exceptional wine. Homemade pasta, salads, cured meats, regional cheeses, and Tuscan biscotti will be served.
After a delicious lunch with an amazing view, we'll drive you to San Gimignano, one of the region's greatest treasures and one of our favourite sites on this Private Tuscany Tour. The small town, which is perched on a hill with a view of the surrounding area, is a great place to go shopping, see the well-known mediaeval towers, walk through the elegant streets, and taste the best gelato in the area.
You'll depart from San Gimignano and travel through the Tuscan hills to Pisa, the last stop on the schedule for the day. You will have the chance to discover more about the Baptistery, the Cathedral, and the Leaning Tower during your personal tour around the historical locations of the city with your guide. We can set up a skip-the-line ticket so you may enjoy the breathtaking views from the top of the tower; all you'll need to bring is the strength to climb all those steps!
After an amazing visit to Pisa, you'll come back to Florence with several pictures of the astonishing Tuscan architecture and landscapes, a stomach full of delicious typical products and a memorable experience.
