1. Is my phone compatible with giga eSIM?
Most newer iPhone, Samsung, and Google Pixel models support eSIM. Please ensure your device is eSIM-compatible and network-unlocked before purchase. No refunds will be provided for incompatible devices.
2. Can I reuse or reinstall the eSIM if I delete it?
No. Once the eSIM profile is uninstalled or deleted from your phone, it cannot be reinstalled or recovered. If you face any connectivity issues, please do not delete the eSIM. Contact gigacares@giga.com.sg for assistance first.
3. Does this eSIM support voice calls and SMS?
This is a data-only eSIM. It does not come with a local phone number and does not support traditional voice calls or SMS. However, you can use data-based apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, or WeChat to make calls.
4. Will I be able to access social media in Hong Kong & Macau?
Yes! The giga Hong Kong & Macau Travel eSIM allows you to access social media apps and websites including Instagram, Facebook, and Google without the need for an additional VPN.
5. How do I track my data usage?
You can also check your usage in your phone's 'Mobile Data' or 'Cellular' settings under the giga eSIM profile.
6. When does the validity of my eSIM start?
Your eSIM validity begins the moment it connects to a supported network operator. You have 90 days from the date of purchase to activate the eSIM before it expires.
7. Can I share my data with other devices?
Yes, hotspot and data tethering are fully supported.
8. What should I do if I haven't received my QR code?
QR codes are typically delivered via email within 15 minutes of purchase. Please check your Spam or Junk folders. If it is still missing, please contact support with your order details.
Please activate and install the eSIM within 90 days of receiving it.
