Product Info

  • This experience tour allows you to try your hand at Japanese calligraphy, a proud part of our artistic culture, and create two original pieces of your own. Every participant will receive one original piece created by our instructor. These are original works, not prints. The tabletop display version comes with a frame as shown in the photo. The larger version is provided as the artwork itself. You will practice how to hold the brush, as well as basic techniques such as vertical lines, horizontal lines, 'harai' (sweeps), and 'ten' (dots), before creating two pieces you can display at home. One will be a large piece for your wall, and the other will be a smaller piece for your desk or table. Your instructor is a certified master and professional calligrapher from the Japan Educational Calligraphy Federation, and also runs their own calligraphy school. We invite you to join this tour to experience calligraphy, create your own art, and take home a professional piece. The venue is a rental conference room near Higashi-Ginza Station.
