- THSR Ticket Types -

  • Adult: Tickets to be purchased by passengers aged 12 or older.

  • Senior Ticket: For citizens aged 65 or older (as of the date of travel) who hold a National ID card or a government-issued photo ID that includes their ID number and date of birth.

  • Concession Ticket: For citizens holding a Disability Certificate (pink). (The 'Necessary Companion Discount' field on the back of the Disability Certificate must state 'Domestic Public Transportation' to qualify for one Concession Ticket for a necessary companion.)

  • Child Ticket: Children under 12 may purchase a Child Ticket. Children under 12 who are taller than 150 cm must present proof of age.

  • Free Child: Children under 115 cm, or children over 115 cm who can prove they are under 6 years old, may travel for free if they do not occupy a seat. (If a seat is required, please purchase a Child Ticket.) Free children must be accompanied by an adult passenger, and each passenger is limited to two free children.

  • THSR seats are automatically assigned by the system. We cannot guarantee consecutive seats, nor can we specify seats or carriages. If you have a requirement for consecutive seats, please note it in the remarks field, but the actual arrangement will be subject to the system's assignment. 
  • If you need to change the train time, please contact KKday customer service 8 days before departure. Changes are limited to one time only. No changes will be accepted within 7 days of departure.
  • THSR booking opens 29 days before the departure date. You can place an order 29 days in advance, but we cannot guarantee that THSR seats will be obtained.
  • Since THSR tickets can only be booked within 29 days (including the day of travel), if the 29th day falls on a Friday or Saturday, tickets can be flexibly booked up to Sunday. If your requested itinerary date exceeds the booking window, our order processing staff will prioritize booking your requested train times once the booking window opens. However, this is subject to the actual seat availability confirmed by the staff.
  • Due to different regional and hotel policies, if you have special requests (e.g., one large bed/two small beds, baby crib, etc.), please submit them when placing your order. We will request them from the hotel, but fulfillment depends on the hotel's availability. We apologize for any inconvenience.
  • The definition of a child varies by hotel; any on-site surcharges are subject to the hotel's policies.
  • The 'child without bed' option only includes insurance and administrative fees. If you need a THSR ticket, you can purchase it when selecting the number of tickets. Any other incidental expenses must be settled on-site. 
  • Child without bed: This means the child does not occupy a bed. If you decide to have 2 children share one bed, please select 1 child + 1 child without bed. A maximum of 2 children without beds are allowed (please see individual product definitions for any additional occupancy restrictions). Children without beds do not include hotel meals, facility usage, or amenities.
  • Placing an order for a package does not mean the booking is complete. You must wait for the order processing staff to confirm and issue a voucher to indicate a successful booking. If you have any concerns, please do not place the order.
  • To book wheelchair-accessible seats on the train, please contact the ticket window at any station or call the THSR customer service hotline (4066-3000). Travel agencies do not provide wheelchair seat booking services. Thank you for your understanding.

Reminders

  • The 'THSR Booking Code & Ticket Pickup Identification Code' will be provided on your order voucher 7 days before departure. Travelers using electronic tickets or convenience store pickup should collect their tickets within the specified time.   • Before purchasing this product, please be sure to read the booking instructions and related agreements. If the purchaser is not the traveler, the purchaser acts as an agent and is obligated to fully inform the traveler of the itinerary. Once you click to agree, the booking instructions and restrictions will be legally binding on the traveler. We do not accept claims of ignorance or lack of understanding as grounds for defense.

  • If you have purchased a 'Concession Ticket/Senior Ticket', you must carry a valid photo ID on the day of departure for inspection by THSR staff. If you fail to present valid identification or if there is any discrepancy, THSR reserves the right to refuse boarding. You will be required to purchase a new ticket to travel, and the original THSR Holiday ticket will not be eligible for refund or cancellation.

  • Nangang, Taipei, and Banqiao stations cannot be used as both the departure and arrival stations (e.g., for an itinerary with Taipei as the arrival station, Nangang and Banqiao stations cannot be used as the departure station).

  • The price includes one round-trip standard car reserved seat ticket for adults; the travel date must be the same as the hotel check-in or tour departure date. A single order is limited to the same departure and destination stations, and passengers must travel on the same train. If you need to return on a different date, please arrange your own return transport from the hotel. This package includes round-trip tickets; partial refunds for one-way tickets are not permitted.

  • The THSR tickets in this package are discounted tickets, valid only for the designated date and train. They are non-transferable and will not be reissued if lost, so please keep them safe. Tickets that are altered, defaced, or photocopied are invalid.

  • If the itinerary includes accommodation, check-in and check-out times are subject to the hotel's policies. If the itinerary includes accommodation, the promotional price is based on a limited number of rooms; actual available room types depend on sales status, and room types cannot be changed.

  • For departures more than 29 days away, please fill in 2~3 preferred THSR train times for both departure and return in the 'Order Remarks'. The actual train times obtained will be subject to confirmation by customer service.

How to Use

- How to use high-speed rail during holidays -

  • Taiwan High Speed ​​Rail
  1. Please use your physical ticket or mobile e-ticket to enter the high-speed rail station.
  2. High-speed rail reservations are only open for dates within 29 days of your travel date. If your travel date is not within 29 days, your reservation will be made and sent out after the reservation period opens.
  3. Each passenger in the same order is limited to boarding/alighting at the same station; they cannot board/alight at different stations.
  4. High Speed ​​Rail (HSR) holiday tickets are special packages with specific rules regarding the origin and destination stations. For example, if you choose to depart from Taipei Station and stay at a hotel in Kaohsiung, your outbound ticket will be from Taipei to Zuoying, and your return ticket will be from Zuoying to Taipei. No refunds will be given for getting off midway, and if you miss your stop, you will need to pay the difference according to the official HSR fare announcement.
  5. The high-speed rail tickets for this project are discounted tickets and are only valid for designated trains on the same day.

- Important Notes Regarding High-Speed ​​Rail Cancellation During Holidays -

  1. According to the regulations for high-speed rail holiday tickets, no refunds may be made for any single leg of the journey.
  2. All ticket refunds must be processed through KKday; ticket windows at all high-speed rail stations cannot process refunds or exchanges.
  3. Note: According to the regulations for high-speed rail holiday tickets, if multiple people book the same order at the same time, and need to refund or exchange tickets, they must all apply for refunds or exchanges together. Individual refunds or exchanges cannot be processed, and all refund, exchange, and ticket change fees will be charged. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.


- High-speed rail holiday cancellation policy -

  • If you need to cancel your order, please contact KKday customer service first.
  • Due to administrative processing time, the cancellation policy will be based on the text below KKday. Order cancellation applications will only be accepted between 08:30 and 16:00 daily. Applications submitted after this time will be considered as applications submitted one day later.
  • If you have already purchased a high-speed rail ticket, an additional cancellation fee of NTD 20 per ticket will be charged (round-trip tickets are counted as 2 tickets).
  • Free cancellation for orders placed more than eight days before departure (excluding the departure date). For orders placed seven to four days before departure (excluding the departure date), a cancellation fee of 30% of the total cost will be charged.
  • If you notify us of changes or cancellations within three days prior to the departure date (excluding the departure date), a cancellation fee of 70% of the total cost will be charged.
  • On the departure date, if you are notified to change or cancel your order, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total cost will be charged.
  • (For example: If you are departing on December 8th, you can change or cancel your order before November 30th for free; if you change or cancel your order between December 1st and 4th, a 30% handling fee will be charged; if you change or cancel your order between December 5th and 7th, a 70% handling fee will be charged.)

  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–8 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.

  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time.
