Some plans are based on a single group, but generally the minimum group size is 20. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the tour will be cancelled and a cancellation notice will be sent by email 7 days before departure.
Please confirm your tour number on site and meet at the plaza in front of the Taiko-dori Exit of JR Nagoya Station.
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes for the tour.
In winter, depending on the weather conditions, you may not be able to enjoy the snow scenery at each tourist attraction. Once the itinerary is completed, the tour will proceed as usual regardless of the snow conditions and no refunds will be given. Please be advised.
The weather in central Japan is very cold during the snow season, so please wear warm clothing, a jacket, and non-slip shoes.
The scheduled tour route may be changed or cancelled due to traffic conditions or congestion on the day.
If the tour is unable to reach a particular attraction due to bad weather or traffic, the tour leader reserves the right to change or cancel any part of the itinerary at any time for the safety of all participants. Participants cannot request a refund or fee reduction for this reason.
Due to road conditions and other factors, the itinerary may require adjustments to the duration of your visit or cancellation of some attractions. Return arrival times may also be significantly delayed. Please avoid activities in the evening of that day.
If you leave the tour mid-trip, it will be deemed as a voluntary withdrawal and no refund will be given. If any personal injury or property loss occurs as a result of this, the consequences will be borne by the individual.
During free time, please pay attention to the safety of your person and property. If you fail to heed the advice and any accidents or losses occur, you will be responsible for them.
Passengers under the age of 18 cannot participate alone and must be accompanied by a passenger aged 18 or above.
Infants under 2 years old who do not occupy a seat can join for free. Each adult may only bring one infant who does not occupy a seat. If you are traveling with an infant, please inform us in the "Remarks" section when booking.
Due to limited space in the luggage storage box, if you need to bring a large suitcase on board, please inform us in the remarks column. Thank you for your cooperation.
Vehicle type: Vehicles are assigned based on the number of participants. For small groups, a driver and accompanying personnel will be assigned to provide full tour services. No additional tour leader will be assigned. Upon arrival at the attractions, you will be free to explore the area. Please note this.
After the trip has departed, if the trip is terminated due to force majeure such as weather conditions or natural disasters, the unfulfilled itinerary will be refunded based on the actual expenses incurred. However, additional expenses such as return transportation costs or local accommodation expenses will be borne by the passenger.
During the experience, you may be seated at the same table or table with fellow passengers on the bus or restaurant. This is subject to the tour leader and facility arrangements on the day.
If the snow activities at Morigago no Sato are temporarily closed due to force majeure and cannot be experienced, a partial refund will be issued, and you will be able to enjoy a stroll in the ancient town of Gujo Hachiman instead.
Infants under 2 years old can participate in snow activities for free, but must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old.
Please note that bus seats are subject to on-site allocation and cannot be specified.
If the road is closed due to force majeure such as snow and wind and cannot reach Shirakawa-go Gassho Village, you can go to Magome-juku for a walk instead.
Location of goods: Taiko-dori Exit, JR Nagoya Station. Currently under renovation, there are no obvious signs in the vicinity. Please refer to the Google Maps location shown on the product page for the most accurate location.
Shirakawa-go Gassho Village is renowned for its distinctive gassho-zukuri farmhouses, a traditional architectural style with steeply-pitched thatched roofs resembling hands clasped in prayer. These houses are designed to withstand heavy snowfall and provide large attic spaces for silkworm cultivation. To fully appreciate Shirakawa-go Gassho Village, a visit duration of at least 2 to 3 hours is recommended. This allows ample time to wander through the village, explore various gassho-zukuri houses (some are open to the public as museums), visit the observation deck for panoramic views, and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. A more leisurely pace might extend the visit to half a day.
Shirakawa-go Gassho Village offers breathtaking scenery due to its unique architecture set against a backdrop of lush mountains and pristine nature. The thatched-roof houses, especially when covered in snow during winter or surrounded by vibrant autumn foliage, create a fairytale-like landscape. It’s a hands-on activity suitable for all ages, allowing you to take home a unique, handmade souvenir.
At Muka-no-Sato, visitors can experience exhilarating snow activities such as snow rafting and snow donuts. Snow rafting involves riding an inflatable raft pulled by a snowmobile across snowy terrain, offering a thrilling and fast-paced adventure.
