We take pride in our incredibly fresh sashimi platters and rich, plump raw oysters available year-round. Our Kinka mackerel, so fatty it repels soy sauce, is grilled to crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside perfection using our Binchotan charcoal Robatayaki grill. Our fatty beef tongue, carefully aged with a secret spice blend, is served at its best with the savory aroma of high-heat charcoal grilling. Seasonal 'Seri-nabe' (Japanese parsley hot pot) is also available in autumn and winter. Located just a 3-minute walk from Sendai Station West Exit! Enjoy the authentic flavors of Sendai along with local Tohoku sake in our calm, private rooms that can accommodate groups from 2 to 35 people.
We partner with the largest wholesaler in Sendai Market and purchase the best oysters of the day, regardless of origin or brand, which allows us to offer an excellent balance between taste and price. Of course, there are seasons depending on the origin, but you can find plump, tasty oysters all year round. We also boast super fresh sashimi platters. We prepare easy servings for two people! The freshness is obvious at a glance. Enjoy the fresh fish that is only available in that season!
The charcoal-grilled dishes at Date no Kura are also delicious. The extra-large Kinka mackerel is fatty and packed with flavor, and is seasoned just right to go well with sake. The beef tongue is made from the very tender part of the cow, which can only be obtained in small quantities. It is aged for three days with a homemade blend of spices. The beef tongue's flavor and texture are brought out to the fullest, and it is finally finished with charcoal smoke. The synergistic effect of the flavor and aroma makes it even more delicious.
Date no Kura does not offer a grand sake menu. (We have the popular and standard selections, but also seasonal specials, etc.) We have a wide selection of local sakes, mainly from the Tohoku region, carefully selected by the manager. They are often available, so you can enjoy them fresh. They taste even better when paired with our exquisite dishes. We also have an all-you-can-drink menu, so please feel free to come and visit us.
Our restaurant has plenty of seating where you can relax and enjoy your meal. We have counter seats where you can feel at ease even if you are dining alone, as well as spacious table seats, but our most recommended space is our stylish private room. We have rooms that can accommodate 2-10 people, as well as spaces that can accommodate up to 40 people, and private rooms that can be used for any occasion. Japanese restaurants strictly adhere to the reservation time system. If you are late, it will be considered as a voluntary cancellation of the reservation. Latecomers cannot request changes, cancellations, or refunds for this reason.

Dining time is limited. If you're late and therefore shorten the dining time, the dining time cannot be extended.
