Passengers do not need to collect physical tickets; simply proceed to the gate and present the valid identification document used for registration. Children must be accompanied by an adult passenger to complete the real-name identity verification process through the assisted channel.
- Boarding Process -
Departing from Hong Kong (Departing from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station):
- Please proceed directly to the ticketing concourse on Level B1 and use your valid identification document for real-name verification and ticket checking at the self-service gates or staff-assisted counters.
- Before boarding, please follow the instructions for luggage and security checks, then proceed to the Departure Concourse on Level B3 to complete immigration procedures.
- After arriving at Level B3, please proceed to the ticket gate for your train and use your valid identification document to enter for boarding. The ticket gates will open 15 minutes before departure and close 5 minutes before departure.
- Upon arriving at the mainland China station, please use your valid identification document to exit the gate.
Arriving in Hong Kong (Departing from a mainland China station):
- Passengers should use their valid identification document to complete real-name verification and ticket checking through self-service gates or staff-assisted channels.
- When heading to the ticket gate for your train, please use your valid identification document to enter for boarding.
- Upon arriving at West Kowloon Station, please disembark at the platform on Level B4 and follow the signs to the Arrival Concourse on Level B2. At the Arrival Concourse, please complete immigration procedures and use your valid identification document to exit the gate.

- When booking, you must provide the passenger's name in Chinese and English as shown on their travel document, nationality, and ID or passport number to purchase tickets.
- Children under 6 years old can travel for free. Passengers aged 6 or above but under 14 are eligible for child tickets; the child's age is calculated based on the date of travel. Child tickets must be purchased together with the accompanying adult's ticket. Passengers should occupy the seats assigned to them.
- Each passenger aged 18 or above may bring one child under 6 years old who does not occupy a separate seat for free; the child's valid identification document must be provided when purchasing tickets. Additional accompanying children must purchase child tickets. Children traveling for free who occupy a seat alone must also purchase a child ticket.
- Tickets are only valid for the specified travel date, train number, and carriage class. If a passenger gets off at an intermediate station or does not complete the entire journey, they cannot use the same ticket to continue the remaining journey.
- Passengers must bring valid travel documents to complete immigration procedures. The Level B3 ticket gate will close 5 minutes before departure.
- Passengers must present the original identification document that complies with the 'Regulations on the Organization of Cross-Boundary Passenger Transport by Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High Speed Rail' to enter the station and board the train (including: Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (Home Return Permit) / Resident Identity Card of the People's Republic of China / Residence Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents of the People's Republic of China / Residence Permit for Taiwan Residents of the People's Republic of China / Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card of the People's Republic of China / Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao / Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents (Tai-Bao-Zheng) / Valid passport acceptable under the regulations of the People's Republic of China).
- Passengers traveling without a valid ticket will be handled according to relevant regulations.
- Adults holding a child ticket will be treated as traveling without a ticket.
- Except for cases where service is affected or with the consent of train crew to pay the fare difference, passengers may not get off at a station beyond the destination specified on their ticket.
- Passengers who are deemed unsuitable for travel according to relevant laws, considered a threat to public health and safety by the railway transport enterprise, violate relevant laws, disrupt public order at stations or on trains, harass others, or travel in violation of rules and refuse to pay the fare difference, may be refused boarding.
- The high-speed rail system requires every ticket-purchasing passenger to undergo real-name verification before a ticket can be issued. Please ensure you carry the original or a copy of the identification document used for booking (Mainland residents: ID card / Hong Kong and Macao residents: Home Return Permit / Taiwan residents: Tai-Bao-Zheng / Other nationals: Passport) to perform system real-name verification at the station. Tickets can only be issued via KKday after verification. If ticket issuance fails due to lack of real-name verification, customer service will notify the passenger separately.
