Product Info

【Alangyi Ancient Trail - Stories of the Langqiao-Beinan Trail】
As the only coastline in Taiwan without a highway, this ancient trail was a trade route 400 years ago for the Beinan people of Taitung to travel south and trade with the Paiwan people. The original trail spanned 200 kilometers. Walking on this historic path, we have arranged for Paiwan friends to guide you through Alangyi while sharing the fascinating and rich stories of this trail, making you feel as if you have traveled back in time to understand the lives of the ancestors of this land.
【Travel - Beach Cleanup - Reducing Plastic in Our Daily Lives】
While walking along the beautiful Alangyi coastline, we will encounter a lot of marine debris. We hope to spend some time collecting recyclable items. While it is impossible to clean it all, we can learn that marine debris is not just a national issue but a global one, prompting us to reflect on not littering and reducing our plastic usage.
【Traditional Paiwan Self-Sufficient Living Experience】
An immersive experience to truly live like the locals and understand the life of the Paiwan Kusu tribe. We will build fires in the forest, grill meat on stone slabs, and enjoy salt-grilled fish, all prepared together by the participants, experiencing a self-sufficient lifestyle and tasting ingredients from the Pacific Ocean.
【Traditional Paiwan Family Feast Dinner】
At a traditional farm personally built by our Paiwan friends, we will enjoy a dinner prepared for guests, featuring stone-grilled meat, vegetables and fruits grown on the farm, and tilapia from the farm's pond, all cooked in traditional ways to present the delicious taste of whole foods.
【Lazy Camping】
Our camping experts will teach everyone how to set up tents easily. We have prepared easy-to-assemble tents, so you do not need to worry about not knowing how to set them up or taking too long; let us build our cozy shelter for the night together.
【Experience Notes, Environment, and the Cultural Preservation Space Built by Returning Youth Wen-Bin】
The Bashuya forest environment is a natural space personally created by our Paiwan friend Wen-Bin. Nestled by a stream, there will be mosquitoes and insects, which are normal residents of the forest. The Paiwan lifestyle uses smoke from fires to repel them. Additionally, the environment is primitive and traditional, preserving the lifestyle of a Paiwan family. While mobile signal is weak, it allows you to let go of your busy life and truly rest.
【Pre-trip Reminders】
There is limited bathroom space, with only one available, so you may need to queue for showers. However, since our evening activity is a 'Paiwan Slow Food Dinner,' we can stagger shower times, ensuring it will not be crowded even with many people. Hairdryers are provided.
*Most meals are non-vegetarian. If you are a vegetarian, please inform us in advance so we can prepare vegetarian meals accordingly.
