Product Info

—Attraction Introduction—

  • Satte Gongendo Park

Every spring, cherry blossoms bloom across the branches, creating a sea of pink that stretches into the distance along the embankment. Even more spectacular is the vast field of rapeseed flowers beneath the embankment, which happens to be in full bloom at the same time. The combination of yellow, pink, and the blue sky forms a breathtaking natural masterpiece. The Cherry Blossom Festival is held here annually from late March to April. During the event, over 100 local specialty shops line the path, selling snacks and local products.

  • Kawagoe Little Edo

Travel back 400 years to the Edo period and experience the dreamlike sensation of turning back time. While there are many 'Little Kyotos' in the world, there is only one 'Little Edo'—Kawagoe. Kawagoe flourished during the Edo period and earned the name 'Little Edo.' It is filled not only with Edo-era charm but also features Western-style buildings with Taisho-era romantic flair and Showa-style alleys. Kawagoe is also one of the filming locations for the anime 'Tsuki ga Kirei,' attracting many fans for 'pilgrimages.'

Recommended Attractions:

【Kurazukuri Street】During the Edo period, Kawagoe flourished as a castle town for the Kawagoe Domain. The city preserves many historic streets and temples from that era, exuding a nostalgic atmosphere. It is particularly famous for its 'Kura' (warehouse) buildings made of black tiles and bricks, and the entire city has been designated as a 'Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings in Japan.'

【Toki no Kane (Bell of Time)】The landmark of Kawagoe. Legend has it that the bell tower was built by the lord of the Kawagoe Domain 400 years ago. Although it has been destroyed and rebuilt several times, the current tower is the fourth generation. Despite the reconstructions and the modernization of the bell mechanism, it still faithfully keeps time every day.

【Instagrammable Spot - Hikawa Shrine】

Hikawa Shrine is a famous 'Instagrammable spot.' As the 'head shrine' for over 200 Hikawa shrines in Japan, it is said to have a 1500-year history and has long been a sacred place for praying for good marriage and lasting love. Japanese-style weddings are frequently held here, and a steady stream of men and women come daily to make wishes. The shrine also features a small tunnel made of 'Ema' (votive tablets), a must-visit spot for visitors. The 'Omikuji' (fortune slips) at Hikawa Shrine are also unique: the slips are hidden inside lucky sea bream figurines, which you must 'fish' out with a small rod. Behind the shrine, there is a 'Cherry Blossom River,' where spring breezes scatter petals onto the water, creating a unique floral stream.

【Kashiya Yokocho (Candy Alley)】

In Kawagoe's Kashiya Yokocho, traditional candy shops line the street. You can not only experience the rich traditional atmosphere but also purchase the most authentic Japanese candies and snacks.

  • Mitsui Outlet Park
