I bought the Tohoku JR Pass through KK Day and redeemed it at the JR East Travel Centre at Haneda Airport. This trip covers Tokyo to Sendai, then back to Tokyo, and finally Echigo-Yuzawa. You can even reserve seats online, guaranteeing seats for the whole family. A must-buy pass for any Tohoku trip!
One stop service for beginners, a lot of snowboarding and skiing equipment for rental, good management for one day trip program, the ski park is not too crowded. I really like the program and ski park.
We were able to visit a few places in comfort without having to rush for transport. Lunch was provided and it was very delicious. The driver drove safely from destination to destination. The guide was informative and shared a lot about the history of fuji mountain but felt that she could have given us time for toilet break when we reached the first destination(as I was travelling with my elderly parents, they really needed toilet after a 2h bus ride).
Although I was worried about the weather, we departed on time. There was free Wi-Fi available, which made it very comfortable. The break times along the way were also just right, so I had no complaints.
