We plan to have various activities such as food booths and local performing arts stages during the daytime.
-Fireworks Show: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm (scheduled)
-Venue: Takadamatsubara Sports Park (Rikuzentakata, Iwate Prefecture)
Number of Fireworks Launched: Over 15,000 fireworks (including fireworks with a diameter of 200mm or larger)

On October 8, 2023 (Sunday), in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, we will host "Sanriku Fireworks Competition 2023." At the Takata Matsubara Sports Park, the venue for the fireworks, we have prepared a full day of activities for everyone to enjoy in the refreshing air of Sanriku.
Experience traditional local performing arts, savor local delicacies and specialties unique to this region, and, of course, witness the most entertaining fireworks display under the open sky.
This is where you'll find a fireworks festival that will put smiles on the faces of all attendees.

Purchase Notice
We recommend you bring the following items for a pleasant viewing experience.
- Picnic Mat / Tarp Sheet
Depending on the seating area, the area might be on the ground, so please bring a mat. However, each person has a space of 10 square feet (1 square meter), so please fold your mat if it is too big.
- Raincoat, rain boots
Using an umbrella may inconvenience the other viewers. Please use a raincoat instead.
In the event of rain, there may be puddles and muddy areas. Please wear shoes that you won't mind getting dirty or rain boots.
- Flashlight
The event will be held in a spacious park with no buildings around. While there will be floodlights set up in the area, a flashlight will be handy in illuminating your walking area. Please use it when you are walking around.
- Warm Clothes
The night is expected to be chilly. As you will be seated outside for a long time, please bring a scarf, jacket, and/or a coat to keep warm during the fireworks display.
- Wet wipes, pocket tissues
Wet wipes and pocket tissues will come in handy after a meal or using the bathroom.
Permitted Items
- Chair (Height of the seat must be within 11 inches (30cm))
- Small table (around the size of the chair)
*Please be mindful of blocking the view of others.
- Tripod
Tripods are allowed so long as the height does not block the view of others. (The tripod’s height should be kept to around the height of a chair) When taking photos, please do not stand up or leave your seat to take photos from the paths.
Event Conditions / Ticket Refunds
-The fireworks will still be held even in the rain, but in the event of stormy weather, the event will be canceled.
-The organizers will refund tickets if the event is canceled.
-Information about the status of the event being held or being canceled will be updated on the official Twitter account
About Cancellations
There will be no refunds if you cancel after purchasing. Please check the schedule and venue to avoid any mistakes when purchasing. We seek your understanding in advance.
Parking
If you are driving to the venue, a ticket including parking is required. There is a limit to the number of parking lots, so the cars of viewers without a parking ticket will not be allowed in the parking area.
*Parking tickets are sold as a set with the seating area tickets. Parking tickets are not sold separately.
About “Special VIP Kotatsu Seats Limited to KKday Members”
-In the event of rain, the kotatsu will be swapped for a tent.
Please note:
- All seating areas in this event require a ticket. There are no free seating areas. Please purchase your tickets in advance.
- Pets are not allowed in the event area.

Reminders
Traffic delays are expected on the event day, so please come to the venue before 16:00.
If you are driving to the venue, a ticket including parking is required. There is a limit to the number of parking lots, so the cars of viewers without a parking ticket will not be allowed in the parking area.
The use of umbrellas are not allowed due to the possibility of blocking other people's view. Please prepare raincoats instead. However, if you are viewing the fireworks at the back of the venue or around the camera area, umbrellas are allowed.
Tickets are needed for the entrance of Sanriku Fireworks Competition. Only the ones who bring the tickets on the day can enter the venue.
If the single ticket is for multiple people, please wait until all has arrived and enter the venue together.
