If you are prone to seasickness, it is recommended to take seasickness medicine beforehand.
The Shanju B&B where we are gathering does not provide toiletries for non-guests. Please put on and take off your equipment at your own B&B. If you need to wash up, a 50 yuan cleaning fee will be charged to the B&B. Thank you for your cooperation.
During activities, please cooperate with the precautions and safety matters reminded by the instructor, maintain a good buddy system, and dive safely.
If you rent equipment, please take good care of it. If the equipment is damaged or spray-painted, you will be responsible for 50% of the price of the equipment.
If the "Guide and Training" activity does not include personal use equipment, such as: cold-proof clothing, masks, snorkels, weights, fins, etc..., please inform us in advance if you need to rent it. Additional equipment rental fees will be charged.

Some accommodations also offer shuttle services or bicycle rentals. Taxis are available but less common for general island exploration.
To travel from Taipei to Xiaoliuqiu, the most common route involves taking the High-Speed Rail (HSR) from Taipei Main Station to Zuoying HSR Station in Kaohsiung. From Zuoying, you would then take a bus, taxi, or pre-arranged shuttle to Donggang Ferry Terminal. Finally, board a ferry from Donggang to Xiaoliuqiu. This multi-leg journey offers flexibility in timing.
From Zuoying HSR Station, you have several options to reach Xiaoliuqiu. You can take a direct shuttle bus or a taxi to Donggang Ferry Terminal. Alternatively, local buses are available, though they might take longer. Once at Donggang, frequent ferries depart for Xiaoliuqiu, completing the journey across the sea.
From Kaohsiung city center, visitors can take a bus or a taxi directly to Donggang Ferry Terminal. Public buses often depart from Kaohsiung Main Station, offering a cost-effective option. Private shuttles can also be arranged for convenience. Upon arrival at Donggang, you will need to take a ferry to Xiaoliuqiu.
Ferries operate frequently between Donggang and Xiaoliuqiu, with services running multiple times a day. The crossing typically takes about 25-30 minutes, depending on the specific ferry company and sea conditions. It's advisable to check the latest schedules from operators like Dongliu Line or TaiFu Line, especially during peak seasons or holidays.
To reach Donggang Ferry Terminal from Kaohsiung via public transport, you can take a local bus from Kaohsiung Main Station (e.g., Kaohsiung Bus route 9117 or 9127) directly to Donggang. The bus journey usually takes about 60-90 minutes, depending on traffic. These routes provide a convenient and affordable way to connect to the ferry for Xiaoliuqiu.
The estimated total travel duration from Taipei to Xiaoliuqiu typically ranges from 3.5 to 5 hours. This includes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours for the HSR from Taipei to Zuoying, another 1 to 1.5 hours for the transfer to Donggang Ferry Terminal, and about 30 minutes for the ferry ride to Xiaoliuqiu, not including waiting times.
For efficient travel to free diving training locations on Xiaoliuqiu, renting an electric scooter is highly recommended. It offers the flexibility to reach various dive sites, beaches, and meeting points at your own pace. Ensure you have a valid driver's license for scooter rental. Alternatively, coordinate with your diving coach for any provided transfers or local taxi services for specific spots.
