My daughter and I used this service on March 21st. When we woke up in the morning, the palm trees at the hotel were swaying violently, and the strong winds made us worried about the journey to Phi Phi Island. It took about an hour by van from Patong Beach to Rassada Pier. The four-lane road with its many ups and downs was quite an adventure. We were used to it since we had taken a bus tour to Phuket Town the day before, but it would have been shocking for a first-timer. An attendant with a handwritten sheet efficiently handled everything, and we were given classification stickers (ours were green, handwritten with the number of people in our group, 2, and the hotel name Marriott) to wear on our chests before setting sail. The air conditioning inside the boat was too strong, so it's best to bring a jacket or spend time on the deck. We discovered on the return trip that there are also seats on the lower deck, but the air conditioning there wasn't as strong, so we moved there. It took about two hours to reach the waters off Phi Phi Leh Island. Despite the strong winds mentioned earlier, there was hardly any rocking, and there was none of the hellish scene described in other YouTuber reviews. I think it's proportional to the size of the boat. We anchored off the coast of Phi Phi Leh Island and viewed it from a distance. It seemed that landing was not included in the tour. This was due to my lack of research. Soon after, we arrived at Phi Phi Don Island. This is where the stickers came in handy. Red, blue, and green. The difference was unclear, but we, the green group, were for snorkeling and lunch. We changed boats and moved to a nearby snorkeling spot. There were several other groups of about 20 people besides us, and luckily the group behind us had a guide who could speak Japanese, so he made announcements to everyone, which was very helpful. We each put on life jackets, rented masks and snorkels, and entered the water. We swam in an area with a depth of about 3 meters. My daughter and I weren't satisfied with snorkeling with life jackets on, so with the crew's permission, we took them off and entered the water again. Masks and snorkels were free, but fin rental was 100 baht. After about 40 minutes of snorkeling, we had lunch at a restaurant on Phi Phi Don Island. It was typical Thai food, but all the dishes were delicious. The large portion of Chang was a reasonable 120B. We had free time from lunch until the departure time of 14:15.
